Built from real spreadsheet work, not textbook theory

Game of Excel started with a simple frustration: most Excel content online is either too basic to be useful or too theoretical to apply. We wanted something different — tutorials that come from actual reporting and dashboard work, the kind you’d use to hit a deadline or impress your manager, not just pass a quiz.

Where this comes from

Our team has spent years building reports and dashboards inside real businesses, and training people across different countries and time zones to do the same. That mix — hands-on spreadsheet work plus explaining it to teams who are seeing it for the first time — shaped how we teach. If a tutorial doesn’t hold up in front of a room full of people asking “but what if my data looks like this?”, it doesn’t go on the site.

We’ve trained international teams on Excel and reporting workflows, which means we’ve seen the same handful of problems come up again and again — messy data, dashboards that break the moment new rows get added, formulas nobody else on the team can maintain.
