Privacy note
Your PDF is opened and turned into a table on your own device. It is not sent to our servers or to anyone else.
This tool does not ask for an account or an email, and it does not add a watermark to your file.
To work, the page downloads helper tools from public servers (the PDF reader, the Excel writer and, only if you choose to read scanned pages, a picture-reading tool and its English word list). Those downloads do not include your file. Your browser may keep the picture-reading word list so it loads faster next time.
This tool keeps nothing about your file after you close or reload the page. Pressing “Convert another file” lets go of it and clears the page.
This tool is part of gameofexcel.com. The rest of the website may use its own cookies or analytics, which are covered by the site’s own privacy policy.

Tips for cleaner results
- Use a PDF made by a program, like one you download from a bank site, an accounting app, or Word. These have text the tool can copy. A photo or scan has no text, so the tool has to read the picture first.
- If two columns run together, open More options and lower Column gap. If one column splits in two, raise it.
- A date like 03/04/2026 can mean March 4 or April 3. Open More options and set Date order to Month first or Day first.
- Turn off Treat numbers as numbers if you want every cell kept exactly as it is written in the PDF.
- Use All pages in one sheet when every page has the same columns. Use separate sheets when the pages have different tables.
- Compare the row count and a few totals with your PDF before you use the file.
PDF to Excel questions
How do I convert a PDF to Excel for free?
Choose your PDF on this page, check the preview, and press Download Excel (.xlsx). You do not need an account or an email.
Is it safe to convert my PDF here?
Your PDF is opened and read in your own browser. It is not uploaded. The page does download its helper tools from public servers, but those downloads do not include your file.
Can it convert a scanned PDF to Excel?
Yes, with an extra step. The tool offers to read the pictures of the pages. This is slower, it reads English only, and it reads up to 10 pages at a time. It can mix up letters and numbers, like 0 and O, so check the numbers.
Can it open a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. Type it in when the tool asks.
Is there a size limit?
Yes. The file can be up to 50 MB and 200 pages.
Does it add a watermark?
No. The Excel and CSV files have only your data.
Can I convert a bank statement?
Bank statements you download from your bank’s website are usually text PDFs, so they usually work. Always check the preview, and check the dates and amounts.
Will it keep my formulas, colors, and fonts?
No. It copies the text and arranges it into rows and columns. It does not copy formulas, colors, fonts, or images.
Can I get a CSV file instead?
Yes. Press Download CSV. With separate sheets, the CSV is for the page you are looking at.
